Lawyers Helping Lawyers supports suicide prevention program
The S.C. Bar Lawyers Helping Lawyers program is supporting efforts of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to raise awareness for suicide prevention through
Out of the Darkness community walks. In the United States, one person commits suicide every 15 minutes, amounting to more than 36,000 lives lost each year. Thousands of people nationwide will walk to raise money for AFSP's vital research and education programs to prevent suicide, increase awareness, advocate for mental health issues and assist survivors of suicide loss. Learn more about AFSP’s efforts and register for a walk online. For more information on Lawyers Helping Lawyers, contact Robert Turnbull at
