Free ID Theft Seminar and Consultations in Florence and Columbia

The South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs (SCDCA), in conjunction with the South Carolina Bar, the University of South Carolina School of Law and the Federal Trade Commission, will offer free Identity Theft seminars for consumers.

The presentations will cover:
• Preventing identity theft;
• Security freezes and fraud alerts; and
• Reading a credit report and disputing credit report errors.

Consumers can attend a free seminar at one of the following locations:
Doctors Bruce and Lee Foundation Library, Florence
Friday, February 22
12:30 to 1:00 p.m.

South Carolina Bar Conference Center, Columbia
Wednesday, March 6
Noon to 1:00 p.m.

After the presentation, attendees will have the option of a free consultation with an attorney to discuss their Identity Theft issue.
