Constitutional Requirements
South Carolina’s educational funding scheme is a formula denying students in the plaintiffs’ school districts the opportunity to receive a minimally adequate education as required under the S.C. Constitution.

The Teacher Employment and Dismissal Act, S.C. Code Ann. Sections 59-25-410 to 530, requires a meaningful review of evidence and testimony at a teacher’s dismissal hearing to satisfy due process requirements.
