2013 Probate Code form changes
Chief Justice Toal approved 86 new and revised forms for use in S.C. probate courts, effective Jan. 1, 2014. The 2014 revised forms supersede all previous versions. Additionally, all current probate court forms relating to estates and referenced with PC will be modified to reference ES. The forms, with the exception of those noted for court use only, are available on the Judicial Department's website.
Court form revisions
By order of November 18 the Court approved SCCA Form 254, Subpoena in a Civil Case, and SCCA Form 254F, Subpoena in a Family Court Case, for use in Circuit Courts and Family Courts of South Carolina. The forms were revised to include Rule 45(d) and can be found on the Judicial Department's website.

Cole Scholarship applications for December CLE seminars due Nov. 22
Applications for Ronnie M. Cole Scholarships for December seminars are due Nov. 22. The fund provides scholarships to lawyers who need help with the cost of required CLE seminars necessary to maintain their law licenses. The scholarships will be used to attend a qualifying course offered by the S.C. Bar Continuing Legal Education Division. Any member of the S.C. Bar, in good standing, is eligible for a scholarship. Download the application and submit it to Juliana Sobey.
By order of November 15 the Court reinstated April A. Arrasate as an Inactive Member.
