The 2013 Solo & Small Firm Conference was a big hit! If you missed it this year, check out this tip from the last presentation of the day. Need an easy way to remind yourself to complete certain tasks later in the week? ForLater allows you to do just that. Simply type in your message and e-mail address, select the date and time you want the reminder to be sent, and click “Remind Me!” ForLater will send you an e-mail reminder at the appropriate time. While you’re at it, send yourself a reminder to join us at next year’s Solo & Small Firm Conference on Sept. 19 in Greenville! You're invited to Argentina!
Like to travel? Join fellow Bar members in Buenos Aires Jan. 5-17, 2014! The trip includes exploration of the city of Buenos Aires; a tour of the Pampa and its gauchos; visits to Iguazu Falls, the wineries of Mendoza and the High Mountain in the Andes; and an optional tour of the island town of Tigre. You'll also have the chance to meet with Argentinian lawyers, time to shop and explore on your own, and much more. All members of the S.C. Bar are invited to attend. Space is limited to 30 people, and reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cole Scholarship applications for October CLE seminars due tomorrow
Applications for Ronnie M. Cole Scholarships for October seminars are due tomorrow, Sept. 25. The fund provides scholarships to lawyers who need help with the cost of required CLE seminars necessary to maintain their law licenses. The scholarships will be used to attend qualifying courses offered by the S.C. Bar CLE Division. Any member of the S.C. Bar, in good standing, is eligible for a scholarship. To apply, download the application and submit it to Juliana Sobey.

Stand Down Against Homelessness 2013
The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center and Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina are holding the 14th Annual
Stand Down Against Homelessness Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, from 8 a.m. to noon at Armory Park (5000 Lackawanna Blvd., N. Charleston). The event will offer job and legal counseling, medical and dental screenings and assistance, clothing, food and haircuts for homeless persons in the greater Charleston area. Visit the website to see how your firm can get involved.
