ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The South Carolina Bar Continuing Legal Education Division and the South Carolina Bar Construction Law Section are pleased to present the 2014 Construction Law Program. This powerful, practical and diverse program will provide the skills and knowledge to build a complete construction lawyer! Featuring a broad range of perspectives and topics, this seminar will focus on issues critical to success in this complex and challenging practice area. Our experienced faculty includes a South Carolina Circuit Court Judge who is a former construction litigator, in-house counsel at a Fortune 150 company, accomplished expert consultants and witnesses who will provide best practices on working with consultants. In addition, we will hear a skilled and knowledgeable panel of North Carolina lawyers tell what we need to know about construction law in our border state. Our own Frank Elmore will regale us with his annual update on the state of South Carolina construction law. Finally, we are also pleased to include a presentation from Michael Burke of Howell, Michigan, who will share his story and insights on the dangers and solutions to attorney mental health, substance abuse and addiction.
