ABOUT THE SEMINAR
Health law is one of the fastest growing and most rapidly changing fields in the legal profession. This seminar will address
core issues and hot topics to help practitioners stay abreast of changing developments. Panelists—including the U.S. Attorney for the District of South Carolina and attorneys from state government agencies with oversight health law matters in South Carolina—will address a variety of South Carolina-specific issues and trends. The diverse agenda will emphasize practical tips and trends in complex areas such as health care transactions, medical staff issues, enforcement, compliance and the Affordable Care Act’s impact health care in South Carolina. Mock negotiations by experienced practitioners will highlight different approaches to transactional and regulatory matters, and in-house counsel will share tips from the inside perspective. In addition, timely data privacy and security issues (which will quality for ethics CLE credit) will be addressed. Whether your practice is occasionally or predominantly health care law, this seminar will help you spot and address key issues across a range of fields within the healthcare practice.
