About the Speakers
Ernie Haffner is a Senior Attorney-Advisor in the EEOC’s Office of Legal Counsel in Washington, D.C., where he is primarily responsible for drafting policy documents under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Equal Pay Act. In addition to drafting policy documents, he provides training and other outreach on sexual harassment and other EEO issues. He also authored the chapter "Harassment Because of Gender," in the newly published treatise “Workplace Harassment Law,” edited by Barbara Lindemann and David Kadue. Mr. Haffner received his B.A. from the University of Maryland and his J.D. from American University in Washington, D.C.
Andrew S. Rosenman is a partner in the Chicago office of Mayer Brown, LLP, where he has an extensive employment law practice, including the defense of employers, in administrative hearings, trial and appeal, of claims of harassment based on sex, national origin, race and religion. He also has substantial experience in wage and hour and workers’ compensation claims. He has been widely quoted in the legal and general media on employment law matters, including the New York Times and USA Today. Mr. Rosenman received his B.A. from the University of Michigan and his J.D., with high honors, from the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law.
