 Criminal Defense Practice Essentials
led by Arie Bax and Chris Samellas

Friday, May 30
Bar Conference Center
1501 Park St., Columbia

Early Bird–$195

The “Essentials Series” is comprised of 11 full day courses that will cover major South Carolina practice areas, as well as law office technology. Each course is lead by experienced South Carolina practitioners whose goal is to provide you with practical advice on how to handle cases in designated areas. The courses are process oriented, not substantive law oriented, they are specifically designed to provide you with step-by-step guidance and the opportunity to interact with the faculty.

In order to promote maximum interactivity, the courses will be offered only at the S.C. Bar Conference Center in Columbia. Each course will include detailed materials, with heavy emphasis on forms and checklists. Many courses will offer discounts on S.C. Bar books and software related to the practice area.
Each course is limited to a maximum of 100 attendees. Register early to secure a spot for a particular course or courses!

This program qualifies for 7.0 MCLE credit hours

Criminal Defense Practice Essentials is a unique and powerful learning experience that will provide the tools, resources and practical information needed to build and maintain a successful Criminal Law practice. Carefully designed by an experienced planning team, this highly interactive program features a diverse group of practitioners chosen specifically for their commitment to imparting practical knowledge in a conversational and interactive way so that participants learn about skills and processes, rather than black letter law and war stories.

This is not your typical “talking head” CLE! This is the kind of practice-building, educational event that will provide you with the guidance, networking contacts and resources that will form your career! Our distinguished faculty will be available during and after the program so that participants can network, ask questions and build relationships. In addition, the valuable course book will contain many sample forms, checklists, letters, motions and other resources that participants will use over and over again.

Seating is limited to the first 100 registrants, so register today! As an added bonus, we are offering this special program at a $35 discount off the regular seminar fee! Don’t let this unique opportunity slip by!

**Because of the interactive nature of this program we are not web casting or broadcasting**

If you have any questions about your requirement to participate in the series or questions about any of the individual courses, please contact S.C. Bar—CLE Director Terry Burnett at tburnett@scbar.org or 803-576-3780.
