About the Seminar
This seminar qualifies for 6.0 MCLE credit hours, including 1.0 LEPR credit hours.
The South Carolina Bar CLE Division is very proud to present “South Carolina Administrative Law and Practice.” Course Planner Randy Lowell has put together an experienced and talented faculty who will guide you through the key issues in South Carolina administrative practice for 2013 and beyond.
Key seminar topics will include the SC Revenue Procedures Act by Ray Stevens, practice before the Department of Health and Environmental Control by Marshall Taylor, and Practice before the Department of Labor Licensing and Regulation by Erin Baldwin. In addition, you will get important insights how to successfully litigate contested cases at the Administrative Law Court from judges Ralph King “Tripp” Anderson III and Phil Lenski, along with experienced practitioner Jack Pringle. Justin Werner and Chad Johnston will then help you navigate the murky waters of administrative appellate practice. A highlight of the program will be an examination of recent administrative caselaw developments by former South Carolina ALJ and current SC Court of Appeals Judge John Geathers. Finally, Cliff Koon, Chair of the Bar’s Professional Responsibility Committee and Deputy Attorney for the Town of Lexington will deliver a practical and powerful ethics update.
Best of all, every registrant will receive the brand new SC Bar CLE publication South Carolina Administrative Practice and Procedure, Third Edition. This seminal volume, the only one of its kind in South Carolina, will serve as the course material for the seminar and is a “must have” for anyone with an administrative law practice.
So, join your colleagues in the administrative practice arena on Friday, October 25 at the SC Bar Conference Center, at video satellite locations around the State, or by individual live web cast for this exciting and insightful seminar!
