Pleasantburg Dr\nGreenville, SC \n29607\n\n\n \nAbout the Program\nThis fully interactive, hands-on training session will give you all the tools you need to be an effective, ethical, certified family mediator in court-connected and other family and probate cases in South Carolina.\n\nProgram topics include\n• Conflict and conflict resolution\n• Communication and negotiation\n• Family dynamics in separation and divorce\n• Parenting in two homes, unmarried parents\n• Property, support and other financial questions\n• Probate and DSS cases\n• Court-connected practice, law and ethics.\n \nIf you practice in Family Court or would like to work with families in transition, this training program is for you. Additionally, under the S.C. Supreme Court’s new Probate Court Pilot Mediation program, practitioners may qualify for appointment in probate mediation cases by being certified as either a civil or family court mediator.\n\n\nAbout the Trainers\nTrainers Mary Bryan and Jim Sarratt have more than 50 years combined experience as practicing attorneys, and both have mediated family cases for almost twenty years. They are dynamic, knowledgeable, experienced trainers, committed to the value of family mediation. They have prepared many South Carolina attorneys and other professionals to mediate and to use mediation skills in law practice, business and family life.\n\nAnyone may take these classes to become a qualified, well-trained mediator. However, training does not guarantee certification by the S.C. Board of Arbitrator &amp; Mediator Certification; you must also be eligible for certification, of which training is only one requirement.
