Community Association Law Committee

This committee will engage in legislative and public policy initiatives affecting community associations in South Carolina and also assist in developing continuing legal education programs that will address common issues involved in the practice of community association law.    

Legislative Subcommittee
Will focus efforts on legislation related to homeowner and community associations to include, but not limited to, the Manager Licensing Act, S.C. Publications Subcommittee
Will: (1) support the Seminars Subcommittee in preparation of CLE and other educational materials; (2) support the Legislative Subcommittee in dissemination of summaries and updates as to new legislation to the Bar; (3) publish articles in trade magazines; (4) produce educational pamphlets/articles for property management firms and/or the Community Association Institute; and (5) compile information and useful links to be included on the Bar website. Seminars Subcommittee
Will coordinate seminars on a variety of related issues that will address collection and foreclosures, injunction laws, legislative updates, etc. and host several lunch and learn programs for the general public to attend.
